Perceptio Book Presale

During the months of September and October 2021, I had the opportunity to hold my individual exhibition "Perceptio" at the Sala Juan Cordero, of Casa de la Cultura, in the City of Puebla. The photographic exhibition, made up of eleven large-format artworks, was presented as a proposal that questions the viewer's ability to perceive, re-contextualizing the images and questioning the existence of the original reason that triggered them, forcing each one of the visitors to generate a mental construction that seeks new meanings. The photographs in the exhibition sought to transcend the perception, gaze, memory and individual reality of each observer.

The exhibition was very well received by the Museum's visitors. As a commemoration of the event and as a celebration of it, the book / catalog "Perceptio" has been produced, where the exhibited artwork is shown in addition to the new subsequent work belonging to the series.

The book project was carried out with the greatest care in conjunction with a top-level design and curator team. The editorial design was in charge of Selene Lazcarro, the curatorship and supervision of the edition were carried out by Jaime Contreras; while in museography, Selene and Jaime worked together.

The book, made up of 92 pages with two interior fold-out pages, offset quality, will be produced on 250-gram matte couché paper with a registered UV finish, and final measurements of 28 x 20 cm (11 x 7.87 inches). The print run will consist of 500 paperback copies and will be made in one of the most prestigious printers in the country; thereby guaranteeing the highest quality standards. The book will go on sale at $650 Mexican pesos and will be available in early December this year.
